Straight Heavy Rock N`Roll with German lyrics is brought to an 7-track EP called "Drunk As A Fish" by German band Achtlos. Soundwise you can describe most compositions on this cd as a mix between Tom Angelripper, Die Toten Hosen and sometimes even Dimple Minds a bit. Even though the title of the disc suggests that the album might deal with some odd topics, the lyrics are very intelligent mostly and fit into the music perfectly. My favorite tracks here include "Zuviel ist zuviel" which is very reminscent of Die Toten Hosen, "Wahre Freunde" a nice ballad with a very serious topic, and the groovy "Augen der Nacht". The EP with it`s 27 minutes ist just too short! Someone give this band a chance to record more material as it also contains some commercial potential. Highly recommended for fans of german lyrics Rock N`Roll.
